  1980 Stone Technology International Corp was established.
   

Established Stone Technology Stone Technology Int'l Corp, founded by Leo Yao, focused on the research and development of motherboard and laptop computers. It was the industry's pioneer in Taiwan in setting up a warehouse in Hamburg, Germany. Realizing that portable products would be the industry's future trend, Mr. Yao firmly gave up the then budding OEM/EMS business in Taiwan, went to Silicon Valley and grouped together a team of experts to begin the development of three key components in notebook PC and handheld products: 1. Nickel-hydrogen and Li-Ion rechargeable batteries 2. EL and LCD flat panel displays 3. Flash memory chips and microcontrollers.

  1990 Announced the world's first serial flash memory card ˇ§ Media Stickˇ¨

Media Stick-The world's first Serial Flash Memory Card was created. Stone's ˇ§Media Stickˇ¨ made its debut in Comdex. At the trade show, Stone introduced the applications of ˇ§Media Stickˇ¨:
•  Video: Media Stick replaced traditional camera films in digital cameras.
•  Audio: Media Stick replaced traditional cassette tapes in digital audio recorders.
•  Data: Media Stick replaced floppy disks in electronic dictionaries.

During the show, Sony's chairman took the company's executives to visit the booth to learn Stone's innovative idea and development experiences. After 3 years, Sony announced Memory Stick , its key media for connecting electronic devices and bridging between analog and digital age. 

  1996 Announced Micro Disk and Mini Disk, Stone's 2 nd generation flash memory card for consumer electronics such as digital recorder, home message machine and handheld game machine.
  1998 Announced UDisk (big card) and mUDisk (small card, also called Łg-card), Stone's 3 rd generation flash memory card. UDisk and mUDisk received worldwide patents.
  2000 Atech was builded, specializes in R&D.
    Established Atech Totalsolution Corporation In October 2000, realizing that IT industry was about to witness an unprecedented revolution, Mr. Yao rearranged its business structure. He relocated the design team from Silicon Valley to Taipei and spun off Stone Technology's IC design and memory card R&D divisions as a new company Atech Totalsolution Corporation. A subsidiary was also established in Shanghai. Talents in flash memory, I/O interface, IC design and industrial design were grouped together to focus on the research & development and manufacturing of small memory cards and their controller chips.
  2002 Announced CompactUDisk (CUD), Stone's 4 th generation and the world's new standard multi-interface flash memory card.
  2003 Established UDisk International Association (UDIA). More than 50 companies joined the association.
  2004 Announced the world's only patented 5 th generation dual-interface flash memory card (build-in USB 2.0).
  2006 Announced MicroSD to SD/USB dual-interface adapter, combining the interactive applications of cell phone and DSCs.
  2008 Announced the world's first business card size OTG Solid Drive Center (Built-In 32/64/128GB SSD)
